Bye Harry!
Finally gave up on reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix after much agonising and indeed agony. I had got an inch in. That is about one quarter of the way. Finally Master Potter's whining got to me. I just plain gave up. I was a quarter the way through the book and he'd ONLY JUST GOT TO SCHOOL! Here is a book that could have done with some hack and slash from a vicious, possibly cornered, editor. I asked my wife for highlights and went and read a Terry Pratchett instead. This is saying something. I recently survived read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich a few months before. I found it a much better read too!

As way of congratulations my dad has given me two more books on the Reich. Total words is probably enough to rival the whole Potter saga so far. I'm even looking forward to those...

Sigh!
